Getting in touch

6 Blessings is run by the operator of 6 Blessings. Ask the person who invited you to the service. Please don’t send your PIN, or any bank password, to anyone.

Signing in

You sign in with your mobile number and your 4-digit PIN. The first time on a new phone or computer, we text a code to your number to make sure it’s you; after that, that device isn’t asked again for 30 days.

Your ledger locks when you leave the app. Giving from the home screen works while it’s locked; everything else asks for your PIN (or Face ID, in the iPhone app).

I forgot my PIN

Tap Forgot your PIN? on the sign-in screen, or go to Set or reset your PIN. Enter your mobile number and we’ll text you a code; with it you choose a new PIN. Changing your PIN signs you out on your other devices and switches Face ID off on them.

Face ID

In the iPhone app, go to Settings, then PIN & sign-in, and switch on Face ID. It works only on that iPhone, with the faces set up on it. Your PIN always works too.

Connecting a bank

Go to Settings, then Bank connections. You sign in to your bank in Plaid’s own window; your bank password goes to your bank, not to 6 Blessings. Deposits from the last 30 days come in, then new ones as they arrive. You can disconnect a bank at any time on the same screen. You can also import a statement, or add everything by hand, without connecting at all.

Notifications

In the iPhone app, go to Settings, then Notifications, and choose weekly, monthly or off. A notification comes only when something needs you, and only by day. Notifications never show an amount, because they can be read on your lock screen.

The home-screen widget

Your giving shortcuts on your iPhone’s home screen: touch and hold an empty part of the home screen, tap Edit, then Add Widget, and choose 6 Blessings. A tap on a shortcut with an amount logs the gift right there, and the widget shows Undo for a few minutes; a shortcut that asks for the amount opens the app. To have every tap open the app instead, switch off Log gifts from the widget in the app’s Settings, under Widget. It never shows what you’ve given or what’s left to give, and it takes the look you pick in the app, as does the app’s icon.

A copy of your records

Go to Settings, then Your data, to download your income, your giving and your recipients as files that open in Excel or Google Sheets. The Year report can be printed or saved as a PDF.

Deleting your account

Go to Settings, then Your data, and choose Delete this account. It asks for your PIN, then erases your ledger and everything in it, and disconnects any banks. It can’t be undone, so download a copy first if you’d like one.

How your information is handled is set out in the privacy policy; the terms of use are on the terms page.
